Fort Laramie was a key fixture in the Northern Plains and was originally established as a fur trading fort in 1834. Products crafted with the rugged beauty and extra loft of this skin-soft Mountain Merino would have been a prized item for mountain men and women and could just as easily been spotted on the runway of New York's burgeoning fashion industry in the 1800's.
